COMPANY HISTORY

Founded in 1988, Gulf Western Oil was established with a clear focus on developing lubricants specifically engineered for Australian conditions. This market-driven approach has been widely embraced, and over the past 38 years Gulf Western Oil has grown to become a recognised leader within the lubricant industry.

This success has been underpinned by the adoption of globally recognised quality and performance standards, including API Licensing (American Petroleum Institute) and ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certification.

Gulf Western Oil is committed to using only premium-quality virgin base oils combined with technologically advanced, API-approved additive systems. This commitment enables the company to hold some of the highest OEM approvals available in today’s market.

From its beginnings supplying the local market, Gulf Western Oil has evolved into a multi-million-litre operation, distributing across all states and territories in Australia and 19 countries worldwide.

The company remains proudly Australian owned and operated.
